Team Sparkle
British Novice Champions 2001-2006

Season
2005-2006
This
was the first season that the Team had skated
under the NJS (New Judging System). The first
event was the NJS at IceSheffield, Sheffield,
the Team won this event and qualifered for the
British Championships in the process. The next
big event on the Team's schedule was the Nottingham
Cup 2006. The Team skated well to win the international!
This boosted the Team's confidence and achieved
their highest international finish. With winning
the international, the Team also won the British
Championships for the 6th year in a row! The last
competition of the their competive year was the
Trophee Des Hauts De France, Compiegne, France.
The Team skated an average performance to earn
themselves at 4th place finish.

Season
2004-2005
Sparkle's
season started with the First British Qualifer
at IceSheffield in Sheffield. The Team won this
event but saddly came 2nd at the next qualifer
at the National Ice Centre. But came back to win
the British Championships for the 5th year in
a row!
The
team competed at the Spring Cup 2005, Milan. This
was the first time the Team had skated in the
Spring Cup, but they skated a clean and well balanced
programme to come 2nd! Their highest ever internaional
placing! The final competition of the year was
the Nottingham Cup, Great Britain. This was a
chance to compete on home soil, the team skated
to achieve a 5th placing with the Ice Mates winning
the event! Keep up the hard work Sparkle!

Season
2003-2004
The
new season is here again! and Team Sparkle have
already competed in two British Qualifers. The
first at Lee Valley on the 25th October 2003.
In this event, international teams were invited
to compete, with teams from Holland. The team
skated remarkably well and came 1st, even with
one fall!. The next qualifer was held at the National
Ice Centre, Nottingham on the 9th November 2003.
The team came first again! The British Championships
was held on the 18th January at the National Ice
Centre and the Team won for the 4th year in a
row!!!! With this success, the team competed in
the French Cup, Rouen. They skated a confident
performance to come 12th! Well Done Team Sparkle!!!!!!!!!

Season
2002-2003
The
season started and the Team have already competed
in the First British Qualifer, which they won. The
Team gained themselves the British Novice Championships
title by winning the British Championships for the
amazing third year in a row!!!! The team choose
to competed in the Neuchatel Trophey, Switzerland,
skating a fast and clean programme to come 3rd!!!
Recently the team captains went to a awards evening
and came away with 'The Hampshire Junior Team of
the Year'!!!!! |
Season
2001-2002
In
November 2001, the team attended the First British
Qualifer of the season and won. In January 2002,
they also won the second British Qualifer held at
Lee Valley, London. Then the team then went on to
competed in the Schweiz Cup 2002, Switzerland and
came a fantastic 3rd place out of 11 teams. The
final competition of the season show the team taking
their second British title! |
Season
2000-2001
This
season, the team got the opportunity to attend the
French Cup, Rouen for the first time. |
Season
1999
Team
Sparkle are a Novice team, which have been together
since 1996. The team consists of 25 skaters aged
between 9-14 years old. They have competed in the
'Schweizer Cup' in Widnau, Switzerland in 1999,
were they came 7th, also they have done the Basingstoke
Opens were they 3rd! |
